Riding for Hope: A 24-Hour Challenge to Change Lives
Imagine waking up each morning unsure of where you’ll sleep that night. Imagine facing fear in a place that should feel safe—your own home. For too many people in our community, this isn’t just a bad dream; it’s reality. Homelessness and domestic violence don’t discriminate. They affect people of all ages, backgrounds, and walks of life.
That’s why I’m stepping up—literally—onto a bike.
My name is Daniel Mark, and as a real estate agent, I’ve dedicated my career to helping people find homes. But what about those who don’t have one? What about those who are forced to leave everything behind in search of safety? That’s where Carrie's Place comes in. This incredible local charity provides critical support, shelter, and guidance for people escaping domestic violence and those experiencing homelessness. Their work changes lives, and I want to help them do even more.
To raise funds, my good friend Alex Shaw and I will be taking on an extreme challenge—a 24-hour static bike relay at Sherwood Coffee in Gillieston Heights. That’s right, we’ll be pushing our bodies to the limit, pedaling non-stop for an entire day, because the people we’re riding for endure struggles far greater than ours.
But we can’t do it alone.
We need your support. Every dollar you donate will go directly to Carrie’s Place, helping provide food, shelter, counseling, and emergency aid to those who need it most. No donation is too small—every contribution makes a difference.
So, will you join us? Will you stand with us, ride with us, and support those who need it most? Together, we can turn struggle into strength, fear into hope, and uncertainty into a fresh start.
Donate today. Because everyone deserves a place to call home.
